Chapbook Submission Guidelines
Our small press is excited to announce an open call for poetry and fiction chapbook submissions for our annual chapbook series. We’re looking for original works that showcase unique voices and perspectives.
Eligibility 
– Submissions are open to emerging and established Nigerian writers only at this time.
– We accept simultaneous submissions, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
Submission Guidelines
Poetry Chapbooks
– Submit 15-25 poems, including both previously published and unpublished works.
– Previously published poems should not exceed 30% of the total chapbook content.
– Maximum 40 pages.
– Font: Garamond or Times New Roman.
– Font size: 12 points.
– Spacing: Single-spaced.
Fiction Chapbooks
– Submit 5-8 stories, including both previously published and unpublished works.
– Previously published stories should not exceed 30% of the total chapbook content.
– Maximum 40 pages.
– Font: Garamond or Times New Roman.
– Font size: 12 points.
– Spacing: Double-spaced.
Submission Process
– Email your manuscript as a Word document (.docx) to [email protected]
– Include a brief cover letter with your name, contact information, and a short bio.
– Make sure to include “Chapbook Submission” in the subject line.
Submission Window
Our chapbook series will be open for submissions every year from January 5 to February 25. Submissions received outside of this window will not be considered.
Decision Timeline
We will review all submissions carefully, and our decisions will be made by early May. We will notify all submitters of our decision via email.
Contract and Royalties
– By submitting your work, you agree to our digital publication contract.
– If selected, your chapbook will be digitally published on our website.
– Royalties will be paid monthly, based on the sales made on the book that month.
– For the first year, the royalties will be split as follows:
    – 40% to the author
    – 60% to the publisher
– After the first year, the royalties will be split 50-50 between the author and the publisher.
